The TNM Super League Blantyre derby between Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers has been rescheduled to this coming Sunday.

Initially, the derby was scheduled for last Sunday at Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe, but was postponed following the death of Nomads’ chairperson George Chamangwana who died on Friday morning following an illness.

According to the fixture released by the Super League of Malawi (Sulom), BNS has still been maintained as the venue.

In postponing the fixture, Sulom general secretary Williams Banda said it was in line with Article 17 (4) of the Sulom rules and regulations.

“To the general public, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused,” read part of Sulom’s statement issued last Friday.

Meanwhile, Sulom has appealed to fans who bought advance e-tickets through Mpamba for the postponed match to keep the messages as they will be used for the rescheduled one.

The Nomads lead the 16-team log table with 28 points from 11 matches, 10 points ahead of their fourth-placed rivals.
